Our birthday event, The Drawing Imaginarium returned with a Winter edition in Dalston Square in October 2016.

Kindly supported by Hackney Council, it was held over two days and saw some of the old favourites back such as Arnold The Ideas Generator and Pam & Tom Dolls House but also some new fun activities such as:

A giant birthday cake beautifully illustrated by Chi He.

A Happy Birthday Dog head that kids could (and did!) wear by Ben Javens.

Arty and Owl felt workshop by Katie Moore

and

A life class drawing with a full size Yeti by George Northcott. If you wish to meet Yeti, he is now a permanent resident of Dalston Eastern Curve Garden

Our friend and travelling kids bookshop How Brave is the Wren brought with her lots of fun books to read and buy.

We had a great turnout despite the showers and the wind and much creative fun was had.

Feedback from parents

“The event lets us meet new people from the area, so she socialises. I really like it.”

“It’s hands-on, he gets to try things.  Art is always good for their development.”

“It’s creative, he can let his imagination go wild.  It’s not easy to organise arts and crafts at home, it’s nice to turn up and do something planned."
