Studio Anorak has just finished the making of Volume Two of Hello Hull, the childrens magazine dedicated to celebrating Hull UK City of Culture 2017.

This new edition takes inspiration from the Spring programming of the City of Culture 2017 and has for theme Roots & Routes.

It celebrates journeys, the personal ones and migrations in and out of the city over the years.

It explores the different languages spoken in the city, introduces children to 60s Hull born artist Shirley Craven (of Hull Traders fame) by asking them to create their own pattern and taps into the city's rich history with fun Spot and Search and Unscramble Letters games.

Distributed for free to all primary schools in Hull, the magazine has been designed part activity book, part logbook, and is a place for children to record their cultural journey throughout 2017 and to keep as a memento of the city’s special year.  This is Volume Two or four editions out throughout 2017
